Happy New Owner - Impreza WRX Wagon
Discussion
I'm not liking the £500 VED on the 2007 model - got a shock from the Tax Renewal letter. Shame as it is the best all round car I've driven. Only problems I have had:- sticky boot release, paint flaking off a door and roof rust spot - all fixed now. Pondering about getting a slush-box Levorg to replace it ..
Love a good wagon, I have a 2001 bugeye, 120k miles and all stock bar the uppipe cat removal. Chopped in the expensive cars and got something that didn't cost a lot and is still good fun to drive and put the dog in without any worries. Also ordered a classic V3 STI VLtd wagon from Japan which will be a bit of something nice in the garage and potentially (fingers crossed) an RA saloon coming soon too!

They do make you smile!
Mine performed course closing car duties on the Bath Festival Rally this weekend, 140 miles total at competitive speed with about 30 of those on forest tracks and 'white' lanes. A bit thirsty as you'd expect but it didn't miss a beat. Only incident being a burst nearside tyre towards the end where the sidewall snagged a rock in the woods. Thankfully, I'd long ago got rid of the pointless locking nuts and had a wide base lightweight trolley jack on board.
Superb (and clean again now).

There was a light dusting of fresh snow on the ground as I left early this morning, which yielded an opportunity for some low speed fun
First full week of use under it's belt and the Wagon has done well. I've managed 27.8 mpg (basically 30 in my head) which is remarkable and does include a few more spirited moments. Couple of tip runs done at the weekend too, just to prove how practical it is. Definitely the most fun tip runs I've ever done!
The new Ferodo pads have really made a difference. They need to get warmed up a little, but once done, the difference to the old ones is very noticeable and it feels much better now.
Getting grief off my daughter for not being able to stream her music so might have to change the head unit. Other threads on that subject have been useful.
I gave it a good wash, clay, polish and wax last weekend and it has lifted out all the minor scratches and generally improved the look of the paint.

Just to point this out to you, check your WRX has been recalled for the lower arms especially.

Nice to see another with a tow bar! What do you tow with yours? But generally it's my 'annoy the guys at the tip' all purpose 8' x 4' trailer which I've had for donkeys years and it just won't give up!
My old Classic did the same job well but the newer one makes life easier with the extra torque.
I've got a boat too which is 1300kg including the trailer but as the total rig is about 25' long, think that might be a bit over the top for the car!
We're missing ours. Had 2 in a row and would have had more if they still made it. Anyone got LB56 GKN?
Replaced with a fabia vrs estate and an e55 estate. One we love the other less so.
I can see the fabia going (dsg is awful) and another impreza coming, late plate, low miles. They do seem to be out there.
