Today saw the, hopefully, first of a long run of PH Belgium meets, at Oudenaarde, perfect weather, very nice company and a very nice lunch, perfect !!

Look on the bright side - it's not the biggest car park in the world

And the real start point only has space for about 10 cars - as we found out!

So, another eight nutters will have a chance...........go on Bazza, you know you want to !

At least you pass London in the dark and north of Hull, them few people don't care

Seeing the success Rudy has had in his Ostend meet (which I chickened out of due to heat/traffic around Antwerp) have some further news..

I will be sent a map of a tour of the Black Forest shortly, which we plan to drive end of September, beginning of October.

Due to distance involved this will be a weekend tour (or even a two nighter) Kindly express your interest ?

The weekend saw TVRCC50th at Shuttleworth and Millbrook, which was nothing short of amazing !

We left Antwerp early Friday morning, and arrived Bedford at 1500, we had a lovely dinner with Han and Anita (cheers guys !)

On Saturday morning we joined the ride-out from Clophill to Shuttleworth:





Shuttleworth is at Old Warden grass airfield and houses a collection of planes from the early days of aviation till a Spitfire Supermarine;





In the evening we had dinner, at the party, in a hangar with the doors wide open, whilst aeroplane were flying past ! An surreal experience ,not to be forgotten easily !




Then, on Sunday...........Millbrook proving ground, 700 acres of undiluted driving fun ! (Hilde even managed to not scream, well, not very loud....)





For the eagle-eyed amongst you, yes, thats Les Edgar having an eager audience ! Martin Lilley was there to, but we didn't get the chance to chat to him (bugger !)

We left still on the Sunday, as I couldn't get the Monday off, so arrived home at 2300, tired but very pleased, still buzzing after what had been a fantastic weekend !

August meet/run; We personally can only make second half of the month, but if anyone is interested, knows somewhere to go/do/drive......please let us know !

I have now received a proper route in Schwarzwald, Germany. The route is 150 to 200 kms, and part of it is the Schwarzwalderhochstrasse, which I've driven some years back, good straight to gain some momentum (...........) and twisties !

We would start from Radisson Blu hotel in Ettlingen (approx 90 Euro, two sharing), arriving Friday, do the tour on Saturday and stay somewhere around Bad Wildbad (still to be confirmed, but think similar money)

Anyone whos interested, kindly advise as the hotels are in demand, hence some urgent actions required.....
