Rocket Launch notification thread

I kind of prefer the slow majestic rising of a liquid fuelled rocket.
I also like the clear exhaust and the chance to see teh brief condensation trail they leave as they pass through the condensation layer.
I'm sure solid rockets leave a contrail as well but it's totally lost in all the smoke and particulates they leave in their wake.

During the final step of VV06 launch campaign, a technical issue on the Vega launch vehicle required additional analysis. The launch initially scheduled for December 2, 2015 is postponed.
ESA’s LISA Pathfinder spacecraft is in stable and safe conditions and the launcher teams are currently working on this technical issue.
A review of the results will take place tomorrow, leading to a decision for a possible launch on December 3."

The Atlas launch was scrubbed because of bad weather. It's rescheduled for tonight around 11.30 pm our time but the weather is not great this evening either.
I thought I heard them say there was a 30% chance of unsuitable conditions? (I.e 70% chance of a launch)Maybe it was the other way round.

I assumed they were saying 70% chance of a scrub for tonight. Anyway, that was last night. Let's see how they get on this evening.Maybe it was the other way round.
