In Portsmouth and gone outside to have a look. I don't have sunglasses, 3D glasses, eclipse glasses or a welding mask though. I'm hoping to be ok though unless this thick layer of cloud dissipates miraculously in the next 5 mins.

Just been outside with the binos and a card. Came back in and had to put the office lights on as it's getting darker.

Not a gap in the clouds on the Wirral.

Shame.

Great view in brum. Knocked up a make shift filter putting some polarised sunglasses in front of the camera and looking through the view finder. Photos not much cop though...

The overcast here in Sheffield was a perfect filter. Which was nice.

Ok I had clear skys here. Tried that. All I got was lots of round circles. I have no idea how that's supposed to work. Boo and Hiss.

Wonder what the lag is on the live on BBC. Must be many seconds.

Managed to catch a glimpse of it through a very lucky hole in the clouds here in leeds. Very cool.

That was chuffin immense. Whilst downloading a load of pics, been looking at the mountains on the moon, or rather the outline.

we've got filters on the windows too which helped - there was a plane landing at LBA as it happened they must have got an incredible view....

Yep. There has a break in clod just big enough and at the right moment to get a good view of it. Amazing thing to see, considering I slept through the last eclipse.
