Can anyone possibly help with the following please?

I need to find coastal sea temperatures in the Mediterranean in order to find the warmest location.

I've been using seatemperature.org which is good enough to search region by region, but what I'm hoping to use is a chart or database which will give the ability to view temperatures and location, rather than search for a location at random and then be presented with stats for that location.

Oh, and hopefully it would be pretty easy to use - ie, don't want to have to study something like analysis and interpretation of statistics... any suggestions, please?

Try this-

http://www.nnvl.noaa.gov/view/#SURF

All search parameters are in the box on the left of screen. Surface/depth/etc.

Congratulations! You have been awarded the prize for the most nerdtastic way to choose a holiday destination.

When you find out, let me know and I'll run it past the wife.

Thanks stew, that's giving me the info I need, just in a slightly different manner. Good to be able to mouse around over 2014's November seas, or any other date for that matter - just what I need, ta!

It is, kind of, isn't it? I knew that if I posted this in the holiday department there'd be lots of links to sites like Holiday-Weather.com (which seems like a pretty decent site, though!)

I also thought seatemperature.org was useful but difficult to get a quick fix from. Oh, and magicseaweed.com is pretty interesting for wave height guides.

Cyprus is looking hot at the minute.

Do be aware that local variations may be greater than regional ones. Depth of the water, tidal range, currents, bottom composition, shade/sunlight and time of day can all have a big effect on sea temperatures. This little lot can mean that one shady rocky bay that shelves steeply could be 23/24 degrees C and an open shallow sandy bay five minutes drive down the road could be 26/27 C, both at exactly the same time of day.
