Apologies for not responding to all of these great comments. I was on vacation!
The Apollo 11 thing that was made a few years ago for the anniversary was http://www.wechoosethemoon.org/ (flash required). This differs from my efforts on Apollo17.org in that the Apollo 17 material is all in real time with no picking or choosing moments. For the time though (I think 2009, for the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11) wechoosethemoon was an inspirational achievement. It's crazy how far the internet has come in that time. The Apollo 17 site has 8 hour long youtube video segments--29 of them. Insane that it works at all really.

Personally I think putting men on the moon is a bigger achievement than playing video on the internet

Afraid you're in the minority, even in the US nobody trusts NASA these days, they just get more money from congress for black budgets.

I'm not saying we haven't been into space, just that we haven't been through the Van Allen belts, why do you think the Russians never went out of low earth orbit?

But could we keep the discussion on the subject i.e. Apollo 17.

If you want to discuss the so called "Moon Landing Hoax", start a different thread or do a search and resurrect one of the many threads that have surfaced on this topic on PH over the years.

NASA has a very positive approval rating of nearly 70% among the American public.

Most government departments and organisations can only dream of getting anywhere near that. Unlike say the EPA, that opinion doesn't spilt amongst party lines either.
