PS, of course it's bloody wrong!
Indeed here is another cut and paste one he calculated that any person’s lifetime odds of being killed by an asteroid impact are about 1 in 700,000.

The one you used had incorrect grammar and the one I have used is subtly different

I know this is a pain the the ass but what did he actually say, when did he say it and in what context and I do not expect anyone to answer unless they know I was just pointing out that its not correct because it could change a perspective on the meaning of what he said.

(Thats Science for you)

I merely quoted from the original article, complete with its poor grammar, for discussion.
Are you related to my wife? She too could start an argument in a Trappist Monastery. smile

I hadn't thought of that one.

I was thinking of The Korgis.

Some would and some wouldn't if your head was squished Death would be instant but if you were neatly decapitated it takes the Brain about 3 minutes to die and in rare cases causal links such as stress may cause death wink

I was telling my son, around 6 at the time that it is probable that an asteroid killed all the dinosaurs. He went away with a confused look on his face. A little chat later revealed that he doubted that one asteroid could have killed them all. One must have ducked.

Ducks are dinosaurs - so maybe the ducks ducked?

Maybe the stone that killed her was a kidney stone rather than one of celestial origin.
Is it too late to join in?

Every one of the atoms in her kidney stone was made by the big bang, or by stars. The stone was most certainly of celestial origin!
