I was in Washington DC on Monday. 97% eclipse, which as anyone who knows about eclipses will realise, is nothing special. A 99% eclipse isn't 1% less effective, it's about 99% less effective.

But the authorities put on a great event in the park area between Capitol Hill and the Washington Memorial.
