Good pass coming up just now.
Will this be what I've just seen then? Looked like a star but moving across the sky at more like the speed of a plane. Was probably viewable for a couple of minutes before disappearing behind clouds, definitely was not a plane though!

Yes - and it was back 90 minutes later,

Nice. Cloudy yesterday, still not seen it for a good few occasions due to weather.

11mm though? Interesting.

Just had a very good pass of the ISS (from York, UK) where it was visible for a good 3-4 mins. I had downloaded the Android ISS detector the other day and it 'pinged' me 5 mins before the pass. Great little app and it worked really well!

Even though Heavens Above didn't list the 8.36 pm pass as a visible one, it was easily seen tonight against a deep blue sky background.

Try this Eric http://www.n2yo.com/passes/?s=25544 using its predictions I went out to have a look not expecting to see much if anything and then when I could see it easily rushed back in to grab my camera and then filmed it (rather wobbly !)till it disappeared behind the roof, by which time it was over mid Germany, still amazing after 2 years of watching.

^^^ Most Satellite predictors have parameters that can be tweaked for filtering "visible passes".

Indeed, heavens-above did show the pass - but not as a visible pass.

What I'm trying to say is some of them you can alter some setting/s so as to make it a visible pass (not literally visible if you see what I mean). Sun and Moon degrees, elevation etc.

I've used Heavens Above for a while but this one looks excellent. I like all the details it gives and the mapping/distance etc. tool. Thanks for linking.

What is the best ISS app for the iPad? I have ISS tracker on my laptop although it doesn't appear to be available for the iPad.

ISS Spotter is good for iPhone, smart alerts can notify you of all passes at your location over a certain angle.. not magnitude though (or are angle and magnitude related?)

It shows the location of ISS on a map too. It's amazing to see that when it first comes into view (South East), it is a few hundred miles west of Ireland, and when it disappears again, it's somewhere near the Swiss-Italian border !

Some reasonable early morning passes coming up over the next few days.

i just missed it this morning which is a shame as the sky is crystal clear over London.

Very nice too over the clear skies of Shropshire as I was walking the dogs.

I'm new to this but I thought I saw it a around 7:00pm. I was watching it but then it seemed to disappear. Would this be it?

It went over at 19.07 so it almost definitely was the ISS.
