I'm new to this but I thought I saw it a around 7:00pm. I was watching it but then it seemed to disappear. Would this be it?
Yep, it does that at different places on each pass as it runs into the shadow of the Earth. Sometimes you can see it from one horizon to the other and it's way over central Europe in these conditions.

It depends how long after sunset the pass occurs. If it is just after sunset, you will almost see it from horizon to horizon. If later, it will run into the earth's shadow part way through the pass.

Some nice early morning (but not silly o'clock) passes coming up for those crisp and clear mornings. 6:13am tomorrow,. W to E for example.

Well yes, I know that. lol

I was trying to give a clue for the newcomer. As opposed to WWSW to ESESS (and they may, or may not be made up compass points)

The straight W to E are always my favourite.

Fair enough. The thread is rather long these days so I'm sure people won't be going back to the beginning to check on basic spotting advice.

Excellent pass right over my house this morning. That, Saturn, 5 early planes going round the north east London marker for heathrow and an owl started the week off very well!

Just missed this morning's pass. Had a look for the 8.52 pass but the sky was too bright by then.

It's back for some decent evening passes. The first is at 18.06 this evening (i.e. just under half an hour).

From heavens-above.com

http://www.heavens-above.com/PassSummary.aspx?sati...

That link should / may take you to the relevant table for the ISS viewed from Chingford in north east London.

You should explore the site though as there is lots to find. I trust there is no objection to the link. (on the assumption that it works)

I's the site I've been using for a number of years.

Totally overcast the last few nights so no point in venturing out for a look.
