Taken with my ipad. If you look really, really hard you can just see it. It was much better with the naked eye. wink

For those on Twitter it's worth following Chris Hadfield (@Cmdr_Hadfield) as he tweets some incredible photos taken as he floats way above us.

Great pass just now. Brightest I have seen for a long time.

Still amazes me every time that the bright light I am watching is the size of a football field, weighs over 400,000kg, has 6 people living and working on it and is travelling at over 17,000mph.

Came in here to ask if it was coming over about 6.15 - I was unlocking my front door, looked up at the moon and saw something moving across the sky heading North-ish. Wondered if it was the ISS and am glad to find out it was!

And a wonderful pass it was too! I like the slow ones on a really clear night. As clear as it gets in urban south west Essex that is.

Took my 5 year old daughter outside just before 7pm.
We looked up saw the Moon, Venus, Orion, the plough and she pointed to the bright light in the sky that was moving and said 'Daddy, that's the space station.'
Good girl!

Dd anyone spot the fainter satellite heading northwards about 4 minutes before the ISS? According to Stellarium, it was CZ-2B - a Chinese satellite launched way back in 1976. I'm sure it's a piece of space junk by now.

Yep, tried to catch it on camera.

Edit, hang on, I saw it (another) going South.... (SSW?)

Thanks Eric smile Just read this, popped out the office and caught it through the holes in the cloud - first time I've seen it for months!

Nice and clear here. Through the binoculars it was easy to see the gap between the two main sets of panels.

Just been dragged outside by my 5 year old daughter to see the ISS again. She usually spots it first.
The Moon and Jupiter were also very bright in the dusk sky this evening.

Just caught it sailing towards the horizon. Is it supposed to be visible in the south (west) of England tomorrow? I am guessing the sky may be a tad too light however?

I use this website and select the town closest to where I live.
In the past I have seen the ISS on a light summer evening with no other visible stars in the sky.
