Has anyone ever ordered from this site? And should I be careful of these ramps given they are half the price of the CJ Autos ones?

http://www.uni-max.co.uk/hydraulic-ramp-platform-9...

Thanks.

Worth finding out where they are made
I'm very dubious of anything made in china having had two really bad experiences one with a lift & one with a jack !

What about something like this instead.

Touch cheaper too.

I've just taken delivery of a pair. Price -- after you've paid delivery and VAT is 350 Euros or so.

I should be using them next week.

The engineers/fabricators next door are pricing up the hydraulic components in the hope that they can beat the Czechs on price!

The eBay link is interesting, but the CJ and Uni-Max ones (and I really don't know if they're the same, or where they're built) have the big advantage of only being about 3" high when compressed, so it should be easy peasy to push a car on to them.

Cheaper maybe but still too dear...yes i'm cheap.

Just get a set of old ramps & two scissor jacks.

Cut out where the wheel sits at the top of the ramp then weld jack into the base of the ramp. Then weld the top of the ramp that you cut out onto top of scissor jack, take off the rough edges & paint!
Get the jacks & ramps from a boot sale for next too nothing.

Don't do what some bright spark did & weld the Jack in the wrong way round so the wind up eye for jack was pointing inwards rolleyes

It was me & it was not W to E it was N to S!!

Yes i managed,in my haste, to weld the jack with the winding eye pointing towards the actual ramp ..yes I laughedsmile

Its cheap & effective when you need to raise it higher than standard ramps.

Yep. There's a link to a video from the CJ Autos site (the location looks East European, Maybe Czech?).

I'm more and more convinced that that's the origin.
