That's very true... my way around this is I have some blocks of timber that I use to pop under the wheels, and a few more for under the sills/chassis.When I replaced a sill on an MX5 recently, I took it up in the air, put the blocks under the wheels, lowered it, then put some 9 inch wood blocks under the chassis and onto the plates, and took it back up in the air. That way I had good access to the sill area to cut them off and replace them.
