Hello,

I have today been changing the fluid on my car.

All was going well until pressure was lost in the pedal. Now it drops to the floor with a little pressure. Fluid was topped up at all times.

Any ideas?

Does the system use the crap slave cylinder/bearing assembly that has no bleed nipple at the gearbox end?

If it has the slave cylinder on the outside of the bellhousing then try pushing the cylinder all the way back.
Sometimes air gets trapped in the cylinder and no amount of bleeding will shift it.

Thanks for the replies guys. A mate popped round with a gunson easy bleed. Rigged it up and out popper some pretty massive air bubbles.

I have no idea how the heck I managed to get them in there!

All now appears normal and I've just bobbed to halfrauds to get my own kit!

Brakes after dinner. Disaster averted. Phew!
