Pollen filter - Which way round? (PIC)

I always assumed a pollen filter / cabin filter should have the arrow pointed in the direction of the air flow. However, I received a genuine ford part for my focus and oddly the arrow seems to point upwards. Can anyone tell me which way round this filter should be fitted?
Also, every video I've seen of them being fitted shows the folded flap bit attached from the top (rather than the bottom with my new one).

Don't know on the Focus but OBEN is TOP in German (plus it says TOP next to it) so it does suggest the arrow is showing you which side faces upwards.

Most cabin filters I've changed have an airflow arrow instead. Are there any other markings on the other edges?

If the genuine part says which way it should be fitted then it might be a good idea to do that
