Home service/garage cam belt change

I've been inspired by reading this forum to service my 2005 Astra myself (oil, filters, plugs etc) but it also needs a cambelt change which I'll get done by my usual garage - I know my limits. Does changing the cambelt involve any loss of oil? In other words would I be better to wait until after the belt is done before I start changing oil etc? Thanks for any advice.
