Wiper blade refills

Has anyone any recommendations for rubber or silicone wiper blade inserts? I need 25" blades. The reason for asking is that I've tried some generic replacements with only average results, and I am wondering if inserts are worth pursuing or if I'm back to paying £40 for a new full set of wiper blades every 9 months or so.

On a similar note, are silicone blades recommended? I've not tried them as yet and was wondering if they offer any significant benefit over traditional rubber.

I've found the silicone ones to perform the same as the rubber ones, but tend to last longer, I installed mine around 3 years ago and are still good.
