Any ideas on how to remove a spining rivnut? There is zero access to the other side. I tried to drill it whilst holding the head but that didn't work.

Cheers....

Tried clamping it with some mole grips? Also if you have no access to the other side what about all the swarf drilling with create? Are you not going to clear that out? Anyway if you have access a grider level with the surface it is riveted to should do the trick.

Rivnuts are a bh. Typically used where you can't get to both sides, but come removal, most spin.

If a nut is spinning I screw in a long set bolt with a couple nuts run up the threads then a spacer or two greased washers holding the bolt with one spanner run down extra nuts to washers this may well re tighten up rivnut (usually works) if not a good quality drill should do the job. Richard

Try drilling at a 45o angle, it will spin still but it should take enough out that you can punch the rest out.
