Morning all,

Can I use green 'o' rings in place of the purple ones that are currently fitted to my TVR's aircon? Both are suitable for aircon apparently so what's the difference?

Not sure if it's the same but Porsche supply Purple O rings and ECP supply green O rings for air con.

I have a green set on one side and purple on the other, no leaks thus far.

OK, sounds promising. I'll try my luck with green and keep an eye on it.

They're made of different chemicals. Green is typically Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber which should be fine for air conditioning. I'm not sure what purple is.

ETA: Obviously colour isn't a guarantee of what it's made of though; I wouldn't be surprised if some cheap ones are just made of cheap natural rubber dyed a particular colour.
