Hey guys. My dad over filled his trailer and the weight bent the wheels out of shape.
Looking at these picture do you think a simple blow torch and then knocking it back in shape would work?

Or do you think I should replace the damaged parts?

That's not the wheel bent, but the 'radius arm' that carries the hub!
What was he loading, gold bricks?

looking at the corroded state of the unit, and way that the rubber 'spring' is rotting out of the axle. I'd get a new one. £300-400 from Indespension.

It's twisted the arm which suggests it's been grossly overloaded.
Would need a lot of heat to be able straighten it again - gas welding kit - & I'd have doubts about its safety. Likely to damage the rubber strips which are the suspension springs.
The rubber ring behind the hub itself is the remains of the hub rear seal. Keeps grease in & water out. I'd hazard a guess that the bearings are going to be in a state too.

Cheers mate.
Sorry I knew it wasn't the wheel itself that was bent.
He was moving soil and went abit OTT.

Looking at the amount of rust on that, I don't think I'd even attempt to repair it. I'd replace the whole axle unit.

You can't use heat to help straighten it as it will melt the rubber. It looks very tired, probably time for a refresh. Remember this affects the tracking so if you don't get the straight the trailer will crab and wear out tyres quickly.

You can get a made to measure axle for £200 and this could be a bargain if the dimension are correct.
