I'm after a bit of a favour.

Years back I had a copy of this book Competition Car Suspension

If I remember correctly there were a few pages towards the back of the book which had flow charts for correcting understeer/oversteer for entry/mid/exit corner, under braking/acceleration etc.

Perhaps a bit sad really but I used to use this when playing GT on the PS2.

Little Ex and I are now playing GT5 on his PS3 with a Logitech FF wheel and getting to the stage where we need the suspension tuning chart that I think was in this book.

Unfortunately I lost my entire library during a house fire a few years back.

If anyone has this book could they check that my memory is correct and the suspension tuning flow charts are in there and perhaps could you scan/photo the two or three pages for me?

Many thanks
Ex

I never come in here smile

Is this it, third edition? http://www.scribd.com/doc/28596422/Competition-Car...

You don't need to join up to view it, just close the popup(s). There's a flowchart on p228 (of 263), which is physical page 238, for example.

TE,
I have the book, it is my 'New Testament' compared to Staniforth's 'Old Testament', the "Race & Rally Car Source Book".
And it has the flow charts on pages 238-9.
Please PM me with your email and I'll scan it for you.

Brilliant, thanks. PM sent. Let me know if you don't receive it as PH mail seems a bit intermittent.

Allan Staniforth's books are fantastic. He had a talent for technical writing. Most are silly prices on Amazon but the Race Car and Rally Source book is 200 pages and dirt cheap. I just checked my copy and it doesn't have the flow chart you mentioned, but it does have a section on suspension and is a great read nonetheless.

Received, scanned, sent and again, received.
Glad to help.
And I'm sure that Alan S would be too.
I met him once, the year before his death. At a hillclimb, of course.
