Hi,

Does anyone know of a wideband lambda setup (battery operated) that is designed to use between different cars? By this I mean not having to weld a bung in every exhaust and can just be stuck up the tailpipe to get readings whilst on the road, with a cable through a door and has a handheld readout in the cabin. I had my old Subaru tuned on the road this way but cannot find anything similar for sale.

If not I guess I will have to make something up myself with an AEM Uego

Innovate make the products and a clamp for this purpose, not sure how accurate the readings will be though taken from the exhaust. Not cheap either!

Thanks I did see them when searching. I have ordered an AEM Uego kit and will mount the gauge in a box and wire it up to be powered by the lighter socket. I will make up my own exhaust clamp to mount the sensor into.

Its so i can check ths fuelling in my Austin Healey to modify the carb needle without paying a rolling road, and on Friday I am helping to tune a guy at works Mini. I am starting out soon as a mobile mechanic so should be a handy tool for any carb work.

I have an AEM wideband in my TVR which has been excellent, and rolling roads stick the sensor on the end of the exhaust so im sure accuracy will be fine smile

Wideband turned up today so made a start mounting it up. Just need to make an exhaust clamp now but I am confident it will work ok.
