I have a look at the Gedore cat, but everything over 40NM is over 300mm in length. What model are you referring to?
1/4inch ones ! sorry, not much choice under 30cm. why do you want under 30cm anyway ? by its nature of torque, longer the better to get the force on the head.Adam32 said:

40NM not that much force to apply, but I suppose it depends how strong you are If you want 40Nm on a bar as short as that you need a good firm push. That's why the short ones top out at 20-30Nm. You might get a geared one but it's a bit specialist. I have seen a geared one used to do up dairy pasteurisers to 500+Nm, that's quite exciting. You need 2 fitters to attach the thing to the plate pack and bolt it to the framework so that nothing starts to walk about when you lean on it, and you then get a fitter to lean on the nice long arm that goes into the gearbox. It's quite a solid "click" when it eventually goes.
