Any good do we reckon? Can't say I've heard of them but the price looks good.

ASDA oil probably has the same spec, would you use that?

Me neither.

Interesting, I thought Triple QX was a ECP/CP4L brand, I had no idea other sellers stocked it.

Obviously, you are correct, but it is certainly not exclusively theirs.

It is a brand I personally have used for years on VX/BM without any issues, it conforms to most LL specs for lots of manufacturers.

Gone with the QX. 20 litres for less than 60 quid delivered is a good deal I think.

If it was the correct specification then yes I would. ASDA oil is not manufactured by ASDA...

You may be surprised to hear that I did know that!

Lots of companies sell stuff (including oil) made by others.

I’m going to chuck it in my wives qashqai and daughters 107. Both done around 87000.
I’ve always used dear oil but I’m going to give this a shot now

Yeah but ASDA don't make their own petrol and it's supposed to be the correct specification, yet cars run worse with it and it doesn't last half as long as the more expensive petrols.

Well it’s in.
And then it came out,

I put the oil filter on nice and tight filled it up.
Started it, oil light went off and came on again,
Stopped it and was greater by oil pissing out of the side of the filter,
The rubber seal seems to have popped out.
Oil all over the garage.
And a lot of it.
So I managed to put the old filter back on and fill it up again,
Jet washed it all off,
It’s going in for a cv joint and track rod end tomorrow anyway,
So I think I will get an oil change as well, as I don’t feel confident with an old filter

But they do and most get identical mpg with it

Yes i know it's over a year old

And yes you're right ie most go for the cheapest as probably most the same kind of trips and we all want to save a bit as we're sick of getting ripped off!

I have read all the reviews on engine oil. From what l get from them is everyone has their own preference. As long as the spec is right for your car it should be ok. The same with petrol l use Asda petrol in my MB slk no problem. And diesel in my C5 tourer no problem. So look at the spec if its OK go with it.

I used the Fanfaro 75-w manual transmission oil on a 2016 Ford Fiesta Mark 7 when 2nd gear became slightly sticky at 70k miles: saving 60% vs Ford recommended oil. After 200 miles journey, gears 1-2-3 became sticky almost undriveable. I switched to Castrol maxaxle 75w FE then the gears were all silly smooth like driving s new car.
The fanfaro oil has the correct Ford spec licence certificate something has seriously gone wrong in this process.
I'm now wary of even using fanfaro engine oil in case it too breaks down on long journeys.
