Ebay compressor fix

Just wondering if anyone here knows anything about air compressors. Bought an old compressor from ebay for next to nothing. Everything is ok except that the unloader tube has blown off the check valve leaving the ferrule stuck in there. The check valve is exactly the same as this:

As you can see, the (in my case plastic) tube to the unloader valve goes into the smaller compression-like fitting. Obviously, over time, the plastic becomes hard and slides off the ferule/olive leaving the latter stuck in the check valve. My question is this; how do I get the b***ard out, without having to buy a whole new check valve (which I'll do if I absolutely have to), any suggestions?
