Oil drain pan recommendations
Discussion
Currently ive got an old 5 litre oil can with a square cut out of one side which i always manage to spill oil when doing an oil change. Looking at an oil drain pan, there are a few different styles on ebay but wondered if anyone here had any feedback on which of the types on offer work best.

Assuming you don't have a 2 post ramp, just get the biggest one you can fit under the car, a big funnel and something else to decant it into for taking to the tip etc. We have a couple of these floating around at work which do the job if the big one is in use.

I, like you did the same & made the same mistakes for years until I bought one of these

9 litres is more than enough capacity for me to drain the sump & then decant it at will.

I'm guessing you're on the floor going on the fact you're using a cut out oil pan. I would recommend this

Make sure you buy an open one like this, the ones with covers/lids are a nightmare to use without making a mess.Gassing Station | Home Mechanics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
