When I'm pressure washing both cars on the drive, I'm usually pretty careful getting the hose in position etc but sometimes it just catches between driveway and tyre of one of the cars. It's a Karcher washer and every time I'm cleaning my cars it drives me mad. Is there any kind of product that people are aware of that could help stop this? I'm thinking some click/clip on plastic balls so that the hose reel moves freely over the ground. I'm sure I saw something like this before but can't seem to be able to find it. Any ideas?

Dodo Juice did a pack of 'hose blockers' which basically went under the corner of each tyre and prevented the hose getting caught (just as you described).

Subscribing with interest - the high-pressure hose on my Karcher does my box right in. Hoping someone comes along to recommend a compatible third-party hose that works better.

I bought a 10 metre hose from DirectHoses and have had zero issues. They're made in Britain with solid brass fittings and the hose is very sturdy and tangle resistant. It's made cleaning the car much easier, and is way better quality than the short tat that came with the washer itself. Just make sure you get the correct fitting, as even within brand (eg Karcher) there are several similar ones. Email them to confirm if you're not 100%.

I too thought a longer hose would solve the problem. I now just have even more hose which gets tangled because it stubboenly refuses to lose its original coiled shape!

After market hose definitely helps. Was ready to set my nilfisk on fire with the standard hose truly hateful. So much better with hoses direct hose.

As above a Direct Hoses or Qwashers hose in whatever length you like solves the problem of the coiling which seems to affect all Karcher standard hoses.

10 or 12m versions should mean you can set the pressure washer up and walk around the whole car with hose to spare.

cheers

not sure how the replacement hose will work as it's already 'hard wired' into the gun.

Aha perfect - I'll check that out, cheers!

Not on my Karcher K2, the hose can be detached from the gun as well as the main unit.
