Clay bar?
IPA wipe down?
Pretty much any car polish?
I've not tackled it yet, but I'm guessingIPA wipe down?
Pretty much any car polish?
Clay bar - the white marks cannot be felt with my fingers so this will have no affect
IPA wipa down - I suspect this will have no affect as the marks appear to be in the paint / lacquer
car polish - I've tried this and after a period of time the white marks come back (the same marks)
TIA
Bit of reading for you:

I've removed a lot from various cars with a compounding mop & Farecla G3 - much the same as one of the posts in the thread.

Thanks paintman for the link, I've read it and nothing jumps out as the fix, people have suggested different things, but no consensus on what has worked. I'm not trying petrol, but might try the autoglym stuff.
One white mark looks like a small "splat" hand print by the door handle, so I'm guessing its not scratched and it also feels smooth like its in the lacquer.
Oh well when I get some time I will try some different things.
thanks again

I'd be more worried about what the hell kind of suncream is able to apparently leave permanent marks in the lacquer/paintwork!!
You'd be surprised. Pretty much all of them can etch in or stain the paint.Machine polishing will usually remove it.

Take out dozens of theses every month. I use either G3 Scratch remover from Farecla available at halfords or Menzerna SF4000 which has a low cut but amazing finish when used correctly. Some take a bit more going at than others but I am yet to fail getting them off.
^This..it's car and paint dependent but can easily removed by machine polishing, relatively speaking of course. It is I believe the titanium dioxide in the sun cream which reacts to the car's paint.
Cheers
