The Best Tyre Pumps... in the World?

I agree, track pump is faster and easier than foot pump. But, I want faster still.
I'm thinking larger chamber equals faster, but maybe because it's designed for primed fast release, it doesn't work as a fast track pump in practice. Has anyone tried one of these on a car tyre?

Not tried it on a car, but these are designed for quickly inflating an MTB tyre with the high-pressure air in the tank, that takes lots of pumping to fill beforehand.

Aside of that, you seem to have linked to a bicycle pump!

That would take about 10 years to inflate a car tyre, just buy a Ring plug in 12v pump, takes a couple of mins/tyre & you won't get a sweat on.

Funnily enough, I've just replaced my Ring electric pump. Admittedly my use case is atypical for most but probably quite light duty for a PHer - after a few too many 30-tyre pumping sessions something jammed. I think the piston/piston seal overheated and seized. It was never the same since, and would often stall at the same point.

I've replaced it with a Ryobi 18V jobby as I had a Ryobi battery kicking about. Seems decently put together so far, not a fan of the tyre connector though. I did have to resist getting the 18V tanked compressor as the point of having the 18V one is I can stick it in the boot for a roadtrip if I want... Less likely to do that with even a small airtank, hose and tyre inflator.

I too have one of those which I use on my bike & am 100% confident you are completely wrong having once used my car pump on a flat bike tyre as I already had the car pump plugged in, it took about 7 seconds.

Never mind my second point that it is also going to burn off many many more calories.

I have 4 of them now. One in each car and one spare. The main draw was a lithium battery that can be kept in the car rather than Ni-Cads that slowly discharge to zero when you need to use it and the small form factor to keep in the car. It's accurate against my ITC gauges and only one of them reads 1 psi higher than the rest.

I was a bit precious about them when new and held the unit whilst pumping as it's got a short hose. But now I leave them to pump and have them dangling if the valve is at the top of the tyre or resting on the floor. It has auto off at a pre-set psi.

When I only had 1 unit, it would easily top up 8+ cars at a family gathering and still have charge to do a decent full pump.

I'm in the process of getting an Kismet master to work, replaced a couple of the leather seals but can't see to get it to 'hold' pressure
multiple pumps increase the pressure but it decays away

must be leaking somewhere but I can't hear any hissing ?

Ok replacing the top-hat leather seal with the 9 x 3 section O-rings as suggested earlier has worked a treat
the power of this pump is very impressive
plumbing in a test gauge with a tiny volume a few pumps gets me to 200 psi!

and pumping up a tyre takes about 10 pumps to raise pressure by 2 psi ( on an 18" 235 tyre) very smooth to use, so very satisfying
pump for life!

Great stuff. I’ve still got a master I bought 5 years ago due to this thread, will get round to restoring it at some point. Recently managed to take most of it to bits with no issues tho so will investigate sorting out sourcing or making the leather washers.
