Pretty much as described! Garage want's £550 parts and labour, my Halfords advanced sockets and axel stands say a weekends work? having a flick through some walkthroughs it doesn't seem this part is in compression or anything so should just be unbolting, new one on and rebolting? Or am I being foolish?

I'd certainly have a bash to save a few quid.
If you're reasonably handy it can't be that hard?
Find/borrow/download a copy of the workshop manual, always good to have.

I've done the drop links before for a similar reason. Hopefully should be do-able! Just a question of finding the parts for a sensible price which aren't the chocolate versions biggrin

Got the passenger side done, driver side is seized sadly I spent the morning trying to refit the one bolt I managed to remove from the passenger side! I'll get the garage to fit the drivers side I guess, steering wheel is slightly off centre now, I'm guessing the old arm has taken a dislike to me reffiting it!
