Evening all,

I have acquired a mid rise scissor lift for my workshop but it didnt come with a pump/power back. Im hunting about to find a pump but cant seem to find any conclusive answers.
Ive been sent a picture of the pump previously used before it packed up, which i will try and attach shortly.
What im asking, is are these pumps fairly universal? Can i get a pump and then attach it with some new hydraulic lines and away i go?

All i seem to get from google is pumps or links to scissor lift platforms!

Thanks

Adam

If you can find out/calculate the volume of the cylinder it uses to lift the platform & it is less than the volume of this then I am sure it would do it.

I'd say you need to use a pump which provides enough pressure to lift the load you're asking it to lift, without providing more pressure than the cylinder can cope with. The lift probably has a standard working pressure, but it's not safe to assume that all lifts run at the same pressure or that all pumps supply the same pressure. You also need to make sure that the pump produces enough flow rate at that pressure to lift at the speed you want. I'm sure there's a lot of wriggle room on both counts but you do need to have an idea of the pressure and flow capabilities you're looking for and then choose a pump that meets that spec.

I have just had a closer look at these & (beforehand) assumed that they just used a single high pressure cylinder like most body jacks or similar, hence my first reply.

As above you need to find out what it needs to do & then try googling "hydraulic power pack".

Ebay comes up with things like:-

I am sure you will find something of the same flow/pressure etc.
