Hi

I have choice
Genuine MB circa £250
MB ebay £55 (new boxed etc, part number shows "80" which signifies MB remanufactured)
Febi circa £90
Meyle £60

I'm a bit nervous re the remanufactured item are Febi and Meyle any good.

Don't know about MB, but Febi are one of the BMW oe manufacturers IIRC, Meyle are a bit budget for such an important part for me.

I'd choose Fibi from that list too

Meyle make pretty decent quality stuff in general and the Meyle-HD range is better than OE in some cases e.g. drop links.

Result, brand new boxed Febi for £35 from an ebay seller.

Fitted this morning, quiet and working well.

Mercedes took 10 days to call me back (apparently parts bloke was confused re part numbers). MB price over £200 + VAT.

When I had my C240, the water pump naturally wore out at about 130k. £300 new from MB or £50 for a meyl.

I ended up needing to replace the meyl every year due to worn bearings (every 30k), as it was pretty much a rubbish product. Not doing that again, buy cheap buy twice.
