Thought I'd post in this thread as I recently installed some spot lamps/driving lights which were pretty much plug and play when it came to wiring.

I had the inspiration for upgrading whilst watching the Nurburgring 24hr, the spot lamps on the winning car were built into the grille unlike older cars which had them mounted externally so decided to emulate, there's already some reps by subispeed but they are $400 plus shipping and taxes and aren't available for the Newage WRX

I took off my old LED spotlamps from the front of the car which were mounted on a numberplate bumper bar and installed some new ones which despite being a fraction of the size output a similar amount of light (1xCree XHP70 compared to 8x Cree XML) and due to doing this in conjunction with using 36w LED's for the main beams instead of 100w bulbs meant I could simply piggy back off the mains instead of having to use relays

Old LED spotlamp and 100w Halogen bulb main beam LED bulb is in the box), the LED despite only being 36w has over triple the light output of the 100w Halogen (I measured using a light meter on garage door at the same distance).

New LED spotlamp installed in the grille, I used some bulb extenders similar to what were shown in the previous page and then undid them using some pliers and put in the spotlight wiring then pressed them back together so didn't have to cut into the cars OEM wiring harness.

I've drilled a small hole to mount the bracket into the top of the grille and also screwed the heatsink through the mesh so it's not going anywhere.

Picture of the lights installed, may paint the silver bezel black to blend in to the grille better I'm undecided at this moment in time.

Found it hard to take a shot that does it justice using a camera on the phone, it's putting out over seven times the light output of the OEM main beam setup (measured using a Lux meter).
The majority of the improvement is from upgrading both the dipped and main beams from Halogens to decent quality LED's but the spot lamp does project further down the road, I've also put round DRL's into the housing around the main beam like the new Taxis in place of the side lights.

If anyone's interested in doing this I'll have a look for the part numbers, I got most the stuff from ebay/China and total spend for the spot lamps and wiring was less than £50.
