Sump Gasket replacement - novice question
Discussion
I have removed both the Gearbox sump cover and the Engine sump cover. The 2 surfaces to be joined have been cleaned of all traces of old gasket and sealant. I have 2 new gaskets ready to go and a tube of Curil T sealant.
Does the sealant go on both surfaces (i.e. between the cover and the gasket & between the sump and the gasket)
I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't but in my hazy recollections of Edd China doing this job, I can only recall him doing one side.
