Blair: rise up!

laugh

If he'd said 'post howls of Brexit indignation on internet forums' he'd be closer to it.

If he's serious he'll get Alastair to compile another sexed-up dossier before invading various east coast towns.

Anytime soon sleep

The argument about everyone having a gun goes out of the window when Blair comes on the telly.

Not surprising that he's desperately trying to cling on to a hope of a well paid 'job' in Brussels.

You can ever have too much gravy, can you Tone?

Apart from raising the blood pressure of some DM readers and the like, what does he really think he will achieve?

Another referendum?

I'm loving the delicious irony of Blair cosying up to the SNP. If he is the best advocate for an independent Scotland in the EU that they've got then they are even more fked than they were yesterday.

For "rise up" read "get Tony's cushy eurocrat job prospects back on track"

Yo Blair! 'Bye.

If he keeps UK in the EU and in doing saves the EU, and that would mean the Euro. He will be a living saint on the continent and will doubtless be elected King of Europe for life (in his mind).

ETA and avoid an appearance (we can still hope can we?) in The Hague as all will be forgiven.

He claims that the Brexit voters did so ignorant of the damage that it would cause. A bit rich when the Labour voters in 1997 voted for Blair ignorant of the damage HE would do! And yes, they did vote for Blair rather than Labour. It was the start of the cult of personality in UK politics.

This is the man who decided in retrospect, after offering it in his election manifesto, not to hold a referendum on Lisbon treaty admitting later he knew he would lose. Man of the people.

If Theresa May needed anything to help her secure Brexit it would be tough to top an 'intervention' by Tony Blair. Like many self-serving egotists in politics he is totally unaware of the widespread hatred he generates in the UK. Confused as to what the hell he thinks he is going to achieve by this.

I wouldn't necessarily use the word 'damage' but I think it accurate to say that the majority of people voted on something that they were not properly informed on - regardless of which way one voted.

The topic in hand, it is often the case that Politicians talk the most sense and make the most valid points when they are no longer politicians, free of the shackles of the party line. Regardless of which party they led, I do think any past Prime Minister has insight worthy of a listen.

I don't think it was the right decision to vote to leave. But there we are it's happened. The people have spoken on we need to get on with it.

As such Blair's statement is daft and really adds very little.

HOWEVER.....

This place gets really OTT angry about this sort of thing. And that's always fun smile

Why the hell is the BBC giving so much airtime to this liar and war criminal?

It appears that we have our own narcissist and mentally unstable guy over here with a hero complex desperate to leave any legacy he can.

Why can't he just fk right off.

Not so cheery,

Tony

Whilst we have Corbyn illustrating, on a daily basis, how bad Labour is, it's good to have Blair chime in to remind us of just how vile and self-serving it was. Now where's Mandelswine?
