About a month back my boot lock started acting up and wouldn't lock a lot of the time so I was having to manually lock it rather than letting it do it itself, but a week ago it changed its mind and will no longer unlock. It's a turn the key to 2 'o' clock and push the lock in thing but now the key won't turn at all. It's in the vertical position so it's not manually locked, I can still push the lock in but I just can't turn the key. Unfortunately, it's not covered by my warranty (which covers pretty much nothing that isn't under the bonnet irritatingly as I need my radio fixed too) and I rather need it to work properly as my car is starting to look like teenage me's bedroom. I can't get into it from the back of the car and the parcel shelf doesn't lift up enough that I can take it off and the back seats are lowered from a handle just above the boot floor.

Once I've got into it, the lock mechanism looks fairly simple to replace (it has to be easier than door locks at any rate) but I just can't get into it to try and fix it. Apparently this is a recurring fault so if anyone's got any ideas I'd really appreciate them.
