I have been in the trade 35yrs and wouldn't have a ramp without a solid base plate / sleeping policeman as i have seen the baseless one pull out the floor . It's just what you're used to and happy to stand under with a 3 ton disco above you !
I’ve listened to all of your advise and I’ve decided to pursue the Automotech AS-235SBE. My reason being, is the extra reinforcement of the base plate making it far more rigid and safer. I really appreciate everyone taking the time to reply offering advise.
I rang to order it and they were out of stock. I rang again a month later and got the same reply. It’s still on my to do list but ‘other’ expenses are draining me at the moment. I’ll get round to it....sometime.
