hi all,
not sure if I'm posting in right place. gotta golf 4, pd 130. it's been remapped before I purchased it (for my daughter)
Recently been getting, "emissions workshop" flashing up on startup, and the yellow engine thing.
I connected a cheap obd thing and read a code PO181 - powertrain. fuel temperature sensor.
Does this make sense? anyone come across this/advise fix?
got vcds lite set up on a pc if that might give me more info, but it's a desktop and I gotta run 50 feet of cable to get it to car (which I did for my Audi) so I'm not keen to do that.
anyone advise fix?
thanks if you read this far

Clear all the codes, run the car again, and then when the light comes back on, read the codes again.

Just a wild guess but you may have a problem with the fuel temperature sensor or the wiring connected to it. It's mounted within the injection pump.

In which case it's best to take it to someone who, with all due respect, knows what they are doing.

On the PD engine the fuel temp sensor is inline on one of the fuel lines. Should be easy to change.
