Heavy/Stiff clutch pedal, very low bite point.

Juddering isn't a good sign but the stiff pedal points to a problem in the pedal mechanism or master/slave cylinders rather than a problem in the actual clutch. If it's a concentric slave then working on that is likely to take a lot of work, but pedal / master problems, or slave problems with an external slave, may be relatively minor. For example if an O ring has got chewed up then fragments can jam in the bore.
