I washed my van and not long after the horn started sounding on its own. Any ideas? I guess water got somewhere it shouldn't.

Is it likely it may dry out and be OK or not?

Yes, it may dry out and be ok. Only time will tell.
Did you wash under the bonnet at all?

No not under the bonnet. A tiny bit on the steering wheel though with a dryish spongue.

I had wondered if you might have developed an alarm issue. Often car alarms use the horn and with the central locking playing up it might be related.

Open up any enclosures where there are electrics i.e. fuses, ecu, battery etc, you might find a nice puddle of water in there causing issue

Water won't directly power a horn

As mentioned above, water in a control unit or alarm system

I'll guess there's a blocked drain somewhere.
