Battery Registration??? (Renault Clio MK4)

The battery on my parents 2014 MK4 Renault Clio has just given up the ghost. Sourcing and fitting a new battery is not a problem, but will the new battery require registering to the car so that it performs to its maximum potential? The battery is a flooded type and the car has stop/start on it.
