Hi I’m asking for some help, I’m not very good with cars and I think I’ve exhausted my dads knowledge ahaha!

I have a 1.3L 09 Suzuki swift and having problems with idling revs not being consistent and the engine hunting. I’ve changed the air filter as talking it out completely seemed to get rid of the hunting, but obviously need a filter in my car, so replaced with a fresh one and all seemed well for about 10 minutes of driving until it began again. Let the car idle without the filter in and seemed to fix the problem so I’m guessing it’s something to do with the filter but any suggestions please?
This is my first car and I’m not feeling confident at all in a car that keeps stalling/wants to stall 24/7 frown

Check all hoses and pipes for cracks and splits.

Could be a cracked intake elbow hose. Specifically where it clamps to the throttle body.

Could also be a dirty throttle body.

MAF sensor could need a clean, in addition to the above checks.

Thanks all! Going to get the throttle body cleaned tomorrow as we’ve come to the thought that might be it, but will explore all these!! Thanks again!

It won't be the throttle body, it almost certainly will be an air leak into the inlet from either a dodgy hose/inlet or clamp etc.
