mmm what qualification do you need to deliver a cpc course.
As little as a recommendation from a current or former employer saying you are capableTo be able to deliver a course you must be approved by JAUPT (DSA) and be delivering a JAUPT approved course by a JAUPT approved provider
well i had the, "pleasure" of part 2 yesterday.
i have to be honest, after 20 years, i'm still up for learning something new, or abit of a refresher course, i don't know everything, just most of it
our module this time was, "communication" ha,ha, fpmsl.
we got to watch a dvd about a pretend terrorist attack in london, obviously huge relevance to our job.
our instructor, was an ex coach driver, who from the off came across as a 24 carat cock. but to give him credit, as the day went on, he was alright. he loved ramming down our throat, that with 350 years experience in the room, we didn'tknow everything, and kept getting stuff wrong.
with his help, i have to be honest, we did learn stuff, so in a way its worth it, but what we sat through for 8 or so hours yesterday, could easily have been covered in 3 hours.
teach us stuff byall means, but make it relevant.
we did all have a lttle chuckle to ourselves at the end of the day though.
he made us do the current lgv theory test, and we expected to fail badly.
100 questions, 90 right
he toldus through slightly gritted teeth that was the highest mark he'd seen so far

he made us do the current lgv theory test,
Tests are not allowed as part of any DCPC coursehe didn't say, "you HAVE to do this"
think he wanted to see how we got on, but i think he thought we'd fail miserably.
Ive done 2 parts and fell asleeo in the first and was not far off asleep in the second, at least a test of sorts would of kept the brain working.
For me its just too much talking.
I've just suffered part 4 today, more of the same old stuff rehashed and redressed, even the instructor said it was a waste of time. This is in house within our company, his laptop wouldn't work right so we, thankfully, didn't have to watch too many boring videos and we couldn't see the ones he did show due to thew room being too bright and the screen to dim. At nine o'clock this morning I suggested he turn the laptop off and we have a general talk for the day which would have been more constructive for all, he agreed on the principle of it but said it wasn't possible.
Why the fk don't the EU give up on this total waste of time and money and save us all the ball ache this causes.

I have my 4th on Saturday. This time, I believe it's about health and safety and first aid etc.I have so many H&S courses under my belt now, that I feel I may 'snap' and when we come to the heart attack section, I will grab a table lamp, smash the bulb, stab it into the chest of the dummy and yell "CLEAR".

Do you end up with a small card, similar to a digital tacho card? I presume that come 2014 VOSA and plod will be asking for this along with your drivers licence?
Yes and yes (if driving commercially)Can we claim any of this lot back off the tax man as this lot mounts up over time ,cpc, digicard, adr, licences, medicals etc .
