Jesus mate, are you okay now?
This.

Did you bang your head on something ?....headache
Sadly, for no apparent reason I collapsed in a bar, (sober) and the first thing to hit the solid wood floor was my head. Couldn't be brought round, so carted off in sn ambulance.

lots happened, but long story short, after having ct scans the neuro surgeons found I had a burst eardrum, and 3 different areas of internal bleeding around the skull frown
Its been a tough week to say the least frown

Ta mate.
they wouldnt let me fly home from belfast because of the pressure on the head, so I had a 15 hour trip via cabs, coaches and a ferry. Was knackered when I finally got home at 6am this morning!!!
Got to see my doctor tuesday, with regard to getting another ct scan here in 2-3 weeks

Dear chilli , hope you have a rapid recovery, have they put any restrictions on your HGV activities , normal to be restricted until declared fit by the medics .

Thanks all, much appreciated.
at the mo I'm not allowed to drive the wagons, or even a car, and I am truly gutted, as its all I know, and all I ever wanted to do. The next couple of weeks are going to be very important with visits to my doctor, and then the ct scans that will follow.

I'm grateful to be alive, and at home, never did I expect such a thing to happen to me, that was so serious, certainly makes you think about stuff alot more.
1 minute everything was fine, the next I'm told I've had blood clots and internal bleeding around the skull.
scary st.

That sucks frown

At least you're still here and it's (apparently) summer so you can enjoy the weather at some point.

Get yourself one of these to keep your hand in whilst you're having a break biggrin

cheers mate.
been to my gp, and the ct scan is being sorted, hopefully should be within 2-3 weeks.
also spoke with dvla this morning, who said that if my gp is happy for me to drive, then so are they. but i have no plans to drive untill i have had this next ct scan, which will hopefully give me the all clear, then i can get straight back to work which will make me very happy.
fingers crossed eh!

Not to put a damper on you but you may suffer days of utter fatigue and also days of being a right old tart with PMT , close to tears for no reason and finding it hard to read or write for any length of time , don't worry its the brain repairing itself, hopefully it will all happen quickly, it did for me .

That's right by the A12 isn't it.

I saw a cracking long load today on the A27 East Sussex but couldn't stop for pic.

It was taking up a whole layby.
