Is that just a regular curtain side truck which has been cut down? Loading doesn't look too safe either. Think I'd hold back if I came across that on the motorway!

aren't they usually loaded like that just before they are put on the boat in case of axle weight shenanigans -

I am not sure why they are loaded like that, but I guess without wheels they can get more on without going

Over height and the load is probably more stable like that.

That sight is a common occurrence in Tilbury docks and I try to sneak a quick picture or two.

There's a Commer Q4 sitting in a tire compound(heavy plant type tires)at Etruria near Stoke. Doubt if it's visible from the road ,Gamer Street but anyone on a passing train can spot it.I have been driving this bit of railway for several years and it hasn't moved in all that time but does look restorable. Its a faded orange chassis cab.

Where do all the old trucks go to then?

I work in construction and we've had bits of plant go missing and end up in Africa! I know of suppliers who sell ex-hire plant to Africa also. Is it the same with old trucks?

Mostly one of our customers bought 3 trucks off us to send out there they prefer the older trucks as they tend not to have fancy electronics although our old n reg iveco went to cyprus
