Have to wonder what a lorry of that size was doing reversing into a one way square.

I don't think that it was reversing. Looks to me as if it had passed the Ferrari and was turning left. The swing of the trailer caught it as it turned?! I could be wrong however . . .

Someone made a very good point, if you look on the lamp post by the car there is a sign saying parking suspension/restriction, im wondering if that car should have been parked there at all, i drive an artic doing containers and its not unusual to get sent to these places in London to do overseas house removals. When we do them there are quite often parking suspensions so there is somewhere to park the truck.

Ive no idea what this truck is doing there but no self respecting artic driver goes into places like this for the fun of it.

Another example of crappy DM journalism. What possible relevance is the owner wearing a blue suit, houses worth £8m etc. And I expect the owner would have parked there and expected his car to be safe. Glad to hear the truck driver wasn't "seriously injured" from the parking scrape smile

As I said in the first thread on this, artic really shouldn't have tried to go round Kensington Square.

It's just off Kensington high street but completely unsuitable for big trucks.

Yes he may have had to deliver in there but he should have asked for help to reverse out or something.

I've driven my little truck round there but it's about half the size of that...smile

Looking at the damage I'd say you're right, unless he reversed than moved forward again.

I may have driven that unit; did about a month with McGill some years ago.
Interesting how they've obscured the numberplates but not the company name.....

Definitely, the peeled off metal is in front of the anti-submarine bar where it's been dragged forwards.

Love how they got a DAF mechanic in to remove the bar rather than try and move the car or the truck, probably the safest move!

100% right, it always amazes me how people will abandon very expensive equipment for the sake of conveniance.
