Has anyone got a recent Transit Custom?

My Caddy is coming to the end of its lease so i'm in the market for a new van.

After a bit of browsing, it looks like the Custom with the 155PS engine is a good buy, especially considering what the standard equipment it has.

Ideally, i would have gone for a similar size van to the caddy, but apart from VW, there doesn't seem to be any of that size with decent outputs and i wasnt all that impressed with VW.

Anyway, Experiences welcome!

Bit fragile apparently, but a couple of my AA pals seem to like 'em, that 155 ps doesn't seem to convert to a quicker Van for some reason loaded or empty

Happy with mine, although coming from a Vito I miss two sliding doors. Worst thing is the gear change, its too clunky and haphazard.

I'd have preferred an auto but that wasn't an option, I did spec for a tailgate though rather than barn doors which IMHO is better at least in bad weather

If you are a big lump like me you will soon get fed up banging your left knee on the gear lever binnacle .

Anyone else have an opinion?

Just about to push the button on one of these - swb, limited spec 125 engine, just to carry the boys and tools around.

Tried one and was impressed, a lot cheaper than the Vito and VW, Although not as nice as the VW!

I have got a T5 that I will be keeping for me, but don't want to spend that kind of money on what will just be a tool for business

I sell them New and Used, I prefer them to the T5/T6. A good vehicle, with sensible specifications. The limited vs a high spec T6 is a big price difference, and a smoother ride on the Ford.

If the price is right, go for it
