The French are not happy with double manned vehicles where the driver in the passenger seat is on break .
This is permitted under every other countries rules that the first 45mins of a period of availability is taken as a break .
The French want the vehicle stationary for breaks .
We are now doing 3hrs each then a 45min break ,this meets both WTD and drivers hrs.
It's time all this carp was sorted out and simplified.
Please can we cull the french !!!!!!

Let me guess. You want the UK to be able to set our own regulations, which apply to every driver from every country that happens to be driving here, right?

Yet you seem to object to other countries doing exactly that...

The way we do it is the way directed by the EU it's the French that have suddenly interpreted the rules differently ,again .
The Traffic Examiner that I was talking to yesterday said the French were wrong .Are you just being your usual self or is it a Friday thing ?

No, they're not "wrong". They've just decided to implement more regulation on top of the bare minimum EU reg.
