UK MEPs have always been one of the loudest voices in the EU in favour of increased road traffic legislation I doubt any of it is going to be repealed.

yet we've resisted road pricing and the downward creep of tachos ...

I strongly suspect that no government of any colour is going to weaken the licencing standards , tacho , O-licence or CPC requirements ...

I also suspect that few employers or the RHA would support reversion to the easily cheated analogue tachos or a widening of the work that could be done on log books ...

if anyone thinks it's not simple to defraud an analogue tacho - how about running 'dead mileage' in PCVs with the draw open for one ... where a digital tacho would record that onto the system memory along with a 'no card in place' flag

I wonder if we'll see less foreign trucks stealing (cabotage) UK domestic haulage and the likes in the future?
Also the herds of foreigners parked-up in m-way services waiting on their next load?

France introduced a new minimum wage on the 1st of July.
You now have to carry proof of contract stating employment paying more than minimum wage if collecting or delivering in France.
We now carry employment contracts with us in french !
Only the french would impose this ,fines of upto €1000.
