Hi all. My 2016 Transit Custom was broken into the other night. They've mangled the driver's door lock & ripped it out. Somehow this gave them access to the whole vehicle.

At the moment I've reported it to insurance company for information only. Taken it to several bodyshops / auto repair places where I know people - and they've both said it needs a new door - lock - coding etc and really needs to go into Ford.

So I'm left with finding a good Ford dealer who can price it up for me. Then I know whether to make a claim on the insurance or not. I'd lose my 13 years NCB and my excess is about £800. So it's all down to how much it costs to get it done really.

Any recommendations? I'm in Uxbridge UB10.

Cheers

Just go to the nearest one and or the one you bought it from for a quote, be reasonable with them and they are likely to be reasonable with you

Look into replacing the Ford barrel with a Garrison Replock or a Hykee barrel.
This will offer you much more security over the standard item.

No help, but what is it with Ford and their vehicle security?

As far as i remember, them and Vauxhall have always been crap.
